Forms and Methods of Study
The education at Constantine the Philosopher University is provided on a full-time or part-time basis.
The full-time study in Slovak is provided free of charge. The students do 1500 – 1800 hours of study per one academic year, which includes self-study and independent creative work. The standard student workload per academic year corresponds to 60 credits. In the full-time study, the classes are provided primarily on workdays.
Part-time study at the University is provided for a fee. The tuition fees per academic year are determined in the Internal Regulation Concerning Tuition and Other Fees for the Respective Academic Year. The students do 750 – 1440 hours of study per one academic year, which includes self-study and independent creative work. The standard student workload per academic year corresponds to 48 credits. In the part-time study, the classes are provided primarily on the weekends (Saturdays) or on the last day of the workweek (Fridays).
On-site and distance learning is used both in full-time and part-time study.
The on-site study method is predominant in our study programs and it is based on a direct student-teacher contact and interaction in the context of lectures, seminars, exercises and professional and educational practice.
The distance study method is used in some subjects and study programs – the communication with students is ensured through electronic communication means, particularly those related to the use of computer networks.
