Faculty of Central European Studies
The Faculty of Central European Studies was founded in 2003. The emergence of this Faculty was a result of the efforts to unify the training of Hungarian teachers with more than fifty years of tradition at the University – but its structure resulted from the need to meet the requirements of the constantly and rapidly changing social environment.
The mission of the Faculty is to prepare the future teachers and experts who are capable of communicating in several languages and finding an employment in various fields of culture, public administration and tourism. The Faculty puts emphasis on the links between theory and practice. The students take advantage of the continuous training/teaching practice during their Bachelor's and Master's study.
Its educational and scientific program is based on the preferences in the Central European cultural area, which supports the above objectives of the Faculty through its multilingual and multicultural character.
Higher education at the Faculty is closely tied to research and other creative activities of the employees and doctoral students.
The Faculty is represented by RNDr. Ladislav Szekeres, PhD., Dean of the Faculty of Central European Studies.
