Rector's Award for internationally accepted publishing activities
Based on the Decision from October 26, 2015, prof. RNDr. Ľubomír Zelenický, CSc., Rector of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra granted the Rector's Award for internationally accepted publishing activities to university academic staff and full-time PhD students for publications recorded in international databases Web of Knowledge and Scopus for the reporting period October 2014 - September 2015. Main criterion to be met for this award was the evidence of the publication in the UKF Library Information System (KIS) and the indication of affiliation to UKF in the publication. The purpose of the Rector´s Award, which is associated also with financial reward, is to motivate and encourage employees and PhD students to strengthening their creative activity, building a positive image of our university and improving its position in external evaluations and rankings, including evaluation within the university complex accreditation process.
Rector awarded 150 staff members and 19 full-time PhD students for 190 publishing units in the given evaluated period. The overall trend and growth in publishing activities shows very good creative potential of the authors. Rector expressed acknowledgement for this activity to the employees.
In accordance with Article 2 of the UKF Directive No. 2/2012 on Evaluation of UKF staff and full-time PhD students for outstanding results in scientific and artistic activities of employees, the award is connected with granting of special financial reward to employees and motivation scholarship to PhD students. In the case of co-authorship, the reward, respectively motivation scholarship is divided by the number of co-authors of UKF.
