Russian Ambassador visited our university
On October 19, 2015 prof. RNDr. Ľubomír Zelenický, CSc., Rector of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra welcomed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Slovak Republic Mr Alexei Leonidovich Fedotov. The official meeting was attended by Natalia Mareevova, First Secretary of the Russian Embassy, prof. PaedDr. Elena Zelenická, PhD., Director of the Language Centre, Faculty of Arts of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and prof. PhDr. Jana Sokolová, CSc., Head of the Department of Russian Studies, Faculty of Arts of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra.
The representatives of our university informed the honourable guests about the current situation and perspectives of philological preparation of the students of Russian studies, as well as about successful and continuous work of visiting lecturers of the Russian language, and the language internship opportunities for students in the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute in Moscow.
Mr Fedotov suggested further options to provide and guarantee specific forms of cooperation and presented the idea of transferring the Russian centre currently located at Paneuropean University in Bratislava. Prof. RNDr. Ľubomír Zelenický, CSc., Rector of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra expressed the readiness to establish and further develop relationships with partner universities within the framework of joint projects, publications, research and scientific work. Our university is open to implement lectures of leading scientists and to continue supporting study visits of teachers and students.
At the end of the meeting Mr Fedotov signed a memorial book of our university.
