The Rector of Ternopil University Appreciated the Cooperation
Among the important foreign partners of UKF within the Erasmus+ KA171 grant scheme (cooperation with non-EU countries) is the Western Ukrainian National University (WUNU) in Ternopil. Successful international cooperation with this partner university began in 2024, when our university was visited by the Rector, Prof. Oksana Desyatnyuk, who was welcomed at the University by the Rector, Prof. RNDr. Libor Vozár, CSc. Representatives of individual faculties of UKF were invited to the working meetings with the representatives of both universities.
From February 3 to 7, representatives of WUNU visited UKF again and were received by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., MBA. The Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics of UKF, Prof. RNDr. František Petrovič, PhD., MBA. It was the FPVaI that hosted the foreign guests within the Erasmus+ programme, specifically in the field of Education.
The working meeting focused on discussing the ongoing successful cooperation between the two universities focused on research in the field of quality of life of students in higher education, economics, ecology and informatics, as well as the need for internationalization of education.
During the working meeting, the Dean Prof. Oksana Gomotiuk presented the award of the Rector of the Ukrainian partner university, Prof. Oksana Desyatnyuk, for her contribution in the field of internationalization of education and training to the Vice-Rector for International Relations Assoc. Prof. Pavlikova and the Dean Prof. Petrovic for continuous scientific cooperation, which has resulted in several published studies in the Web of Science database and international research in the field of education. The awards were presented in the form of a Reliable Partner Plaque and a Certificate of Appreciation.
Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Gomotiuk at the joint meeting also appreciated the mutual cooperation and suggested further possibilities of publications in the field of education and informatics. Other Ukrainian colleagues expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to cooperate with the staff of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. At the end of the working meeting, Vice-Rector Pavlikova highlighted the positive impact of joint scientific cooperation.
Dean Petrovic thanked for the cooperation in completing the questionnaires in the framework of the research on the quality of life of students at universities and suggested further opportunities for cooperation in the field of economics, ecology and informatics. As part of the Erasmus+ mobility of colleagues from WUNU, subsequent meetings were held with FPVaI staff, which focused on the preparation of publications and international projects.
