Serbian-Slovak Cooperation
Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (UKF) has been successfully fostering collaboration with high schools in Serbia, including the Gymnasium in Bački Petrovac, the Gymnasium in Stara Pazova, and the Gymnasium in Kovačica. This cooperation was initiated during meetings between the Vice-Rector, doc. PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., MBA, and His Excellency, Ambassador Professor Momčilo Babić. The activities aim to support education, exchange experiences, and promote studying at UKF among high school students in Serbia.
One of the highlights of this collaboration was the university’s visit to the Gymnasium in Bački Petrovac, where UKF presented itself at a university fair and organized lectures on study opportunities in Nitra.
Students from Serbia who are already studying at Constantine the Philosopher University have the opportunity to complete internships directly in their home regions. These internships take place not only at high schools but also at other institutions, enabling students to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience while contributing to the development of their local communities.
The results of this cooperation are already visible in the growing interest of students from Serbia in studying at Constantine the Philosopher University. Thanks to this dedicated effort, the university has welcomed many talented students who contribute to its academic quality and enrich the cultural diversity of the university environment. Mgr. Jan Francisti, PhD., as one of the initiators, together with the Vice-Rector for International doc. PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., MBA, assess the benefits of this collaboration very positively. They believe that the relationship between the university and high schools in Serbia will continue to develop and grow positively in the future.
