Alexandr Moisu University in the coastal city of Durres (Albania) is among the significant international partners with whom UKF is developing collaboration under the Erasmus+ KA171 program (countries outside the EU and EEA).

On January 29, 2024, the Vice-Rector for International Assoc. Prof. PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., welcomed the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Klodiana Leka, and the Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, Prof. Dr. Anita Muha. The colleagues visited UKF as part of the Erasmus+ KA171 program. Subsequently, the colleagues continued their work program at the Faculty of Arts.

 

The established international cooperation is the result of the international activities of the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Assoc. Prof. PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., who has visited the partner institution several times. Prior to international cooperation, negotiations took place with the Ambassador of Albania to Slovakia, J.E. Enkeleda Merkuri, who recommended this university as a reliable and responsible partner.

 

In June 2023, the Rector of Alexandr Moisu University, Prof. Kseanela Sotirofski, hosted Vice-Rector Pavlíková at Alexandr Moisu University. During the working meeting, a bilateral agreement for international cooperation in the field of education and foreign languages under Erasmus+ KA171 was signed. The working meeting was accompanied by Prof. PaedDr. Zdenka Gadušová, CSc., Prof. PaedDr. Eva Stranovská, PhD., and Prof. ThDr. PaedDr. Roman Králik ThD., who significantly contribute to the implementation of international cooperation with Alexandr Moisu University.

 

The outcome of the negotiations is the agreed and successfully implemented international cooperation within the Department of Romance and German Studies (Faculty of Arts). The collaboration includes foreign languages (primarily German and English), language didactics, education, philosophy of education, research in the field of modern trends in education, collaborative publications of UKF and Alexandr Moisu University staff in the Scopus and WOS databases, organization of collaborative international conferences, and other educational activities.

The foreign partner university expressed interest in expanding international cooperation with UKF in the fields of pedagogy, natural sciences, computer science, and psychology.
