Cooperation between Faculty of Arts and the Spanish Gestamp
Economic director Ing. Boris Demo and the Dean of the Faculty of Arts of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (UKF in Nitra), prof. PhDr. Martin Hetényi, PhD., signed the Agreement of Scientific Cooperation that will be carried out in the form of an international scientific research project entitled Current trends in teaching Spanish language and literature in the context of developing cultural awareness of Hispanic culture in Slovakia (Tendencias actuales en la enseñanza de la lengua y literatura españolas en el contexto del desarrollo de la conciencia cultural de la cultura hispánica en Eslovaquia).
The scientific cooperation will be carried out by the staff of the Department of Romance and German Studies of the Faculty of Arts of UKF in Nitra. The Gestamp company's funds allocated for this cooperation are intended to support the publishing activities of the department, to organize scientific and educational events (e.g. professional lectures and seminars, Days of Hispanic Culture and others) related to research of the language, culture and history of the Kingdom of Spain and to promote Spanish language and culture.
In the future, we see the potential of expanding the project and cooperation with the mentioned company also for students of the mentioned department, who could participate in internships at Gestamp's main seat in the cities of Bilbao and Madrid in Spain within the Erasmus+ project.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the company Gestamp Nitra s.r.o. as well as The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain, H.E. Lorea Arribalzaga Ceballos, for the initiative in creating this collaboration and for supporting the activities of the Department of Romance and German Studies of the Faculty of Arts of UKF in Nitra.
