Conference for European Nurse Educators
The conference was held at the Universitat International de Catalunya, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences on February 23 and 24, 2023. It was a dissemination phase of the “New Nurse Educator” project whose co-investigators are doc. PhDr. Andrea Solgajová, PhD., PhDr. Dana Zrubcová, PhD., and PhDr. Ľuboslava Pavelová, PhD., the colleagues from the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. The Conference participants were educators of nurses and other health professionals, and researchers on nurse education from Europe. The Conference topics included nurse educator education, and continuing education in the European countries. The second day of the Conference focused on workshops with the use of new teaching methods in the area of health issues, ethics in work of nurse educators, and issues in future nurse education.
The main outcomes of the Conference were the strengthening of the position of educators of nurses and other health professionals, and the development of pedagogical competence in the changing world with a new generation of students. We are happy to belong to those who care about nurse education. The implementation of new trends in education is a key motivation factor for students how to cope with demanding education also in the conditions of clinical practice.
