Research stay of a PhD student from Iran
Within the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic (NSP), which is financed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic, a research stay at the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Regional Development, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Informatics, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra was approved for PhD student Saeid Janizadeh, M.Sc. Saeid is studying at the Department of Watershed Management Engineering and Sciences, Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, where he is working on a PhD thesis entitled "Flood Management through Payment for Watershed Services (PWS) Program".
During the nine-month research stay (December 2021 - August 2022) at the Department of Geography, Geoinformatics and Regional Development and under the supervision of doc. RNDr. Matej Vojtek, PhD., Saeid will work on the topic of mapping and assessment of spatio-temporal changes and prediction of flood risk, especially, in Slovakia.
