Participation in the international conference in Uzbekistan
Based on the long-term (since 2010) cooperation of UKF with Karshi State University (Uzbekistan), which in 2019 expanded its dimensions with a series of invited lectures of prof. Gadušová (from KAaA), this year the staff of language departments of FF UKF was invited to participate in the online conference "The Role of Language and Literature in the Context of Intercultural Communication", which was organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the above mentioned university on 22 and 23 April 2021.
The conference was actively attended by prof. Stranovská (from KGER) together with her doctoral students – Mgr. Erzsébet Szabó (common presentation with the supervisor), PhDr. Romana Havettová (independent presentation) and Mgr. Augustín Sokol (independent presentation). The conference was also actively attended by the doctoral student, Mgr. Barbara Kolářová, of doc. Hricková (from KAaA).
In cooperation with prof. Stranovská, I presented the paper Intercultural Communication in the Educational Process focused on the issues of interculturality, teacher’s multicultural competence, multicultural education and cultural awareness of pupils.
The conference was a unique opportunity for doctoral students to present partial outputs of their research, but also to present themselves in the international professional community and to gain necessary experience with a conference presentation and discussion of the presented knowledge.
