International Cooperation with Iran
Faculty of Arts, The Department of English and American Studies had the honour and pleasure to host a guest lecturer Fatemeh Khonamri, Assistant Professor at The Department of English Language and Literature, University of Mazandaran, Babolsar, from Iran on 26 November 2020. Assistant Professor Fatemeh Khonamri joined on-line teaching of Professor Zdenka Gadušová for 3rd year bachelor students of English with a lecture on Teaching and Learning English in Iran – Current Trends. The lecture was followed by a discussion with students.
Dr. Fatemeh Khonamri commented on this international cooperation: „It was an amazing experience and I do hope that there can be more cooperation between different UMZ and UKF faculties and departments in different fields and subjects.“
The cooperation with Assistant Professor Khonamri was initiated by the Vice-rector for International Relations Dr. Martina Pavlikova followed by the visit of two UKF professors (Professor Alexander Sirotkin and Professor Roman Králik) they paid to University of Mazandaran last year.
Dr. Khonamri is very keen on mutual cooperation with the Department of English and American Studies, she has offered to teach an on-line course on reading for our students during next semester.
Vice-president of Mazandaran University Dr. Mahmoud Azizi commented this cooperation: „I am delighted to witness the expansion of cooperation between UKF and the University of Mazandaran (UMZ). Over the last few months, I could personally see the efforts and dedication of such people as Professor Alexander Sirotkin and Dr. Martina Pavlikova in further enhancing bilateral collaboration. I hope that this can continue for a long time."
