Enhancing international cooperation in Tirana
During her working visit to China in September 2019, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr Martina Pavlíková, established working contacts with Beijing International Studies University (BISU). The visit was realized under the Erasmus+ KA107 project and by student exchange stays.
At the BISU university, she was welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Ji Jinbiao, and the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof. Li Xiaumu. Also, she was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of European Studies, professor of English, Jiang Lu, who invited her to the Symposium on CEEC Languages Education in Tirana, Albania. It was organized by the Beijing University of International Studies in cooperation with the University of Tirana (Universiteti i Tiranёs) at the end of October 2019, as part of the 4th CEEC Capital Mayors Forum.
By accepting this invitation, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr Martina Pavlíková, enhanced cooperation with Chinese universities and started negotiations with universities in Albania, particularly with the University of Tirana (under the Erasmus+ KA107 project). At the symposium, which was attended by representatives of 10 universities from Central and Eastern Europe and China, Prof. Zdenka Gadušová, from the Faculty of Arts UKF in Nitra gave a speech on Research on Language Teachers Development. Dr Martina Pavlíková, presented UKF's activities in the field of international cooperation and the language readiness of Erasmus+ KA107 program students.
At the event, Martina Pavlíková made new working contacts with representatives of other universities, i.e. Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (Poland), the University of Zagreb (Croatia), the University of Donja Gorica (Montenegro), Vilnius University (Lithuania) and others.
