Meeting of Erasmus+ FITPED project participants
The subject of the second international project meeting - held on October 10th and 11th, 2019, at the Pedagogical University in Krakow – dealt with an evaluation of the first year of the ERASMUS + FITPED project and the preparation of ongoing multiplication events and tasks.
During the two-day session, a new web application Priscilla, designed mainly for learning programming languages and using micro-learning and gamification features, was introduced in more details. Participants at the meeting who came from Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain and the Netherlands, discussed different sources of students' motivation and the identification of suitable elements and levels of gamification. In the second part of the program, they evaluated the designed educational content of the initial courses provided by the Priscilla application in particular languages and English. These international experts prepared the courses (and their language translations) which focus on the teaching of
- object-oriented programming language
- a compiled programming language
- proposal of databases and SQL language
- universal language for data processing,
- programming language for web designing
- language for visual design of webs
- language controlling web design
- and scripting language.
In the upcoming period, as per the project schedule, three multiplication events will be held, presenting the results of the first-year-project implementation to teachers of secondary schools and higher schools as well as companies and non-profit organizations training IT professionals.
