Lecture by Primož Repar from Slovenia
Primož Repar, Slovenian philosopher, publisher, director at the Central European Research Institute of Soren Kierkegaard in Ljubljana, and a member of the advisory board of an indexed journal Filozofia, gave a lecture to students of the Department of General and Applied Ethics at the Faculty of Arts at UKF in Nitra on Responsibility and Values in the Work of S. Kierkegaard and its Timelessness for the Present. The lecture was held on November 4th, 2019, under the project Internationalization of the education process and academic environment at UKF in Nitra. After the lecture, Prof. Diatka highlighted value aspects of J. Patočka and his contribution to Charter 77.
There has been long-term and outstanding cooperation between the publishing house KUD – Apokalipsa and Dr Repar – its editor in chief, and UKF researchers who published their works in the journal (Dr Katarína Gabašová, Dr Ciprian Turčan, and Prof. Roman Králik). Researchers from the Faculty of Arts (Prof. Cyril Diatka, Assoc. Prof. Jarmila Maximová, Prof. Roman Králik and others) have published more than 20 scientific studies in the Apokalipsa journal. They also participate in annual conferences organized by Dr Repar which are held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Slovenia.
The aim of Dr Repar's visit to UKF in Nitra was also to enhance further cooperation under the Erasmus+ project, underlying practical internships mainly for students of the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Education, and the Faculty of Central European Studies. During his stay, Dr Repar met the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr Martina Pavlíková, and Prof. Zdenka Gadušová. They discussed opportunities for internships and their content for students under the Erasmus+ project.
