Two our professors, Alexander Sirotkin and Roman Kralik, were invited to visit in October 20 – 26, 2019 three universities in Iran – University of Mazandaran in Babolsar, Ferdowsi University in Mashhad a University of Tehran.

These professors were invited by vice-rector of the University of Mazandaran in Babolsar, Dr. Mahmooda Azizi after presentation of prof. Kralik at the World’s philosophical congress in Beijing in 2018, where the bilateral cooperation between our universities was discussed. For such invitation the international reputation of our specialists, the extent of their international cooperation, as well their publishing activity (prof. Sirotkin’s h-index 25, H-index 20, prof. Kralik’s h index 12, H-index 8) had the decisive role.

Prof. Sirotkin and prof. Kralik have meet the high representatives of the University of Mazandaran, its president prof. Kourish Nozari and vice-presidents Dr. Mohammad Hossein Fatemi and Dr. Mahmood Azizi, Dr. Hassan Goodarzi – deputy director of the OISC, Ferdowsi University in Mashhad, its president prof. Mohammad Kafi, vice-president for international relationships Dr. Ehsan Ghabool, and dean of the biological faculty assoc. prof. Masoumeh Bahreinicez and the dean of biological faculty of the University of Tehran, dr. Hadi Alavi.

During these meetings one discussed the possibility of the joint publications in the international journals indexed in the top databases, as well as of the scientific cooperation. The colleagues from the University of Mazandaran, Dr. Abasalt Hosseinzadeh Colagar (specialist in reproduction and environmental contaminants) and Dr. Majid Tafrihi (expert in Iranian medical plants and intracellular signaling) expressed their eminent interest in the joint studies of the effect of environmental contaminants and medical plants on reproductive processes. Furthermore, our specialists meet the specialists in neurophysiology and cellular biology of the University of Tehran and exchanged with the information concerning biological studies in both the universities. Finally, on request of the biologists of the University of Tehran, prof. Alexander Sirotkin delivered a lecture „The role of transcription factors in control of female reproductive functions “ for PhD students and specialists in cellular and molecular biology of this university.

Our professors discussed with deans and leading specialists of these Iranian universities the concrete forms of cooperation in area of biology and philosophy. One signed the bilateral agreement with the University of Mashhad; the similar bilateral agreements with other two universities are prepared for signature.
