New bilateral agreement with Chinese university
Between the 10th and 19th September 2019, the Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr Martina Pavlíková (the Institutional Erasmus Coordinator of UKF), visited the renowned Beijing International Studies University (BISU) in China. During her visit, she met the Rector of BISU, Professor Ji Jinbiao. They ceremoniously signed a new Erasmus bilateral agreement between UKF and BISU which will allow more mobilities under the Erasmus + KA107 project during the academic year 2019/20.
During their working meeting, they discussed opportunities for further international cooperation between the universities, mainly via students' and teachers' exchange programmes. The Vice-Rector of BISU, Mrs Zhu Peifen, the Dean of Faculty of European Languages, Literature and Culture, Mrs Jiang Lu, the International Exchange Coordinator, Mrs Han Yijun and Mrs Yuan Yu, also participated at the meeting. Vice-Rector Pavlíková received a commemorative plaque from BISU – a gift for the Rector of UKF, Prof. Libor Vozár.
During her visit to Beijing, Dr Pavlíková, accepted an invitation from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to China, Mr Dušan Bella to the Embassy in Beijing. At their meeting, the Vice-Rector introduced the Ambassador to UKF's International Relations Development Strategy. H.E. Dušan Bella really appreciated the intentions of the University and suggested other opportunities for cooperation. He offered his contacts and promised to support UKF's activities in China and Asia. The meeting took place in a very friendly atmosphere.
Vice-Rector Pavlíková was accompanied by Prof. Roman Králik (Faculty of Arts), Prof. Martin Boltižiar, Dr Lucia Šolcová (Faculty of Natural Sciences) and Dr Zuzana Sándorová (Faculty of Central European Studies) who visited Beijing International Studies University under the Erasmus+ KA107 exchange stays.
Particular gratitude for the development of international cooperation between UKF and China goes to the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Slovak Republic, H. E. LIN Lin. During previous visits to UKF in Nitra he promised assistance in realizing international cooperation between UKF and partner institutions in China.
