Meeting with Professor Matustik from Arizona State University
On the 29th July 2019, UKF´s Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr Martina Pavlikova, met Martin Beck Matustik – professor of philosophy and religious studies at Arizona State University, USA. Prof Matustik's research and teaching focus ranges from critical theory, Continental philosophy, phenomenology and existentialism to post-Holocaust and reparative ethics and East-Central European thought. His interests integrate transdisciplinary forms of literature, philosophy, social theory, and spirituality.
Dr Pavlikova and Prof Matustik discussed cooperation under the KA 107 project, and specific publications within the Canadian-Slovak international project Acta Kierkegaardiana (University of Toronto and UKF in Nitra). Prof Matustik was pleased to accept an invitation to lecture to UKF students, as well as to develop international cooperation with the Central European Research Institute of Soren Kierkegaard.
