Start of cooperation with Israel institutions
From June 29 to July 6, 2019 Prof. RNDr. Alexander Sirotkin, DrSc. visited two institutions in Israel – Hadassah-Hebrew University Medical Center, Jerusalem and the Weitzmann Institute of Science, Rehovot. The host from Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Imbar Tal, Head of Fertility Preservation Service, expert in cryoconservation, embryology and RNA interference. The host from the Weitzmann Institute of Science was Prof. Nava Dekel, Head of Dept. of Biological Regulation and one of the world’s leaders in study of ovarian functions. The scientists from these institutions (3 from Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center and 2 from The Weitzmann Institute of Science) delivered lectures describing the structures and activities of their institutions, as well as their achievements in reproductive biology. Thereafter they arranged a tour through their institutions. The partners negotiated with prof. A. Sirotkin the opportunities for future mutual cooperation and the joint application for Erasmus+ KA-107 grant. They expressed their interest in exchange with students with UKF Nitra.
