Erasmus+ MoMaTrE meeting at our university

Between the 13th and 15th June 2019, the Faculty of Natural Sciences UKF in Nitra hosted a meeting of the international project Erasmus+ MoMaTrE (Mobile Mathematical Trials in Europe), project number 2017-1-DE01-KA203-003577. Researchers, partners from seven European institutions, including the organizers from the Department of Mathematics at the UKF in Nitra, continued with intensive solution of the ambitious intellectual outputs of the project.
The program is coordinated by the prestigious Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany, at the meeting represented by prof. Matthias Ludwig, main project coordinator, Iwan Gurjanow and Simone Jablonski. From Istituto Politécnico do Porto, Portugal, came Ana Moura and Amélia Caldera. And the second partner from Portugal is the Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores of Lisbon, represented by a renowned ICT and gamification expert, prof. Pedro Santos. Caludia Lazaro and Bienvenido Espinar attended the project meeting as the partner from Spain, the Federation of Spanish Mathematics Teachers (Federación Espaňola de Sociedades de Profesores do Matématica); from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France, arrived an internationally recognized person in the theory of teaching mathematics and the use of ICT in teaching mathematics, prof. The project meeting program addressed the agenda of the philosophy and composition of the digital platform, the creation and quality of mathematical tasks and project outputs in the field of mathematics teachers education and materials and methodologies applicable in the preparation of prospective teachers of mathematics as well as in in-service mathematics teachers education.
An important topic was the two upcoming activities involving a broad scientific and professional public: the training of mathematics teachers from partner countries using the platform of MathCityMap MoMaTrE project to be held in April 2020 in Granada, Spain, and the preparation of the final project conference to be held in June 2020 in the city of Porto in Portugal.
The meeting of the project coordinators was also attended by the Vice-Dean for Science and Research of the Faculty of Natural Sciences prof. Mgr. Radoslav Omelka, PhD., who familiarized himself with the participants and the project. The Vice-Dean was not only informed about the project itself and its activities, but he also highlighted the significant project activity, which was a two-week intensive program for prospective teachers at the Goethe University in March 2019 attended by ten students from Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Education UKF in Nitra.
