Visit of the Chargé d'Affaires of Canada to UKF
On April 9, 2019 the Rector of UKF, Prof. Libor Vozár, welcomed the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Canada to Slovakia, Mr. John von Kaufmann. At their work meeting, the Rector of UKF introduced to him the UKF faculties and fields of study. The Vice-Rector for International Relations, Dr. Martina Pavlíková, was also present at the meeting. She informed Mr. Kaufmann about Canada-Slovakia projects and other activities carried out at UKF with the active participation of Canadian universities: project Acta Kierkegaardiana with the University of Toronto, established cooperation with the University of Ottawa and the successful Erasmus project KA 107. Mr. John von Kaufmann also learned about the special contribution of Prof. Abrahim H. Khan, professor at Trinity College, the University of Toronto, who was awarded the honorary title of doctor honoris causa by the Rector of UKF in 2017.
The Rector of UKF and the Chargé d´Affaires from the Office of the Embassy of Canada to Slovakia discussed further possibilities of international cooperation in the field of education, science and culture between UKF and Canada.
After meeting with university representatives, the distinguished guest, Mr. John von Kaufmann, gave a lecture for UKF students entitled Canada's Foreign Policy and the Work of the Office of the Embassy of Canada in Bratislava.
