Appointed by the Rector of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, prof. Libor Vozár, PhD., the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, prof. František Petrovič, PhD., continued establishing cooperation with universities in Argentina between March 11th-17th, 2019.

The recent negotiations were preceded by a visit paid by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., to the vice-rectors of selected Argentinian universities and by the submitted Erasmus + KA 107 project proposal containing agreed mobilities between UKF and the universities in Argentina.
Prof. František Petrovič, PhD. negotiated the inter-university cooperation with prof. Martín López Armengol (Photo 1) and Carlos Frasch (Photo 2).

One part of the visit was the signing of Bilateral Cooperation Agreements with the Universidad Nacional de la Plata and the Universidad Nacional de San Martín Argentina. In the meetings with university staff from the fields of natural sciences, prof. Petrovič made them aware about research at the Faculty of Sciences, UKF in Nitra and they specified possible areas of future mutual cooperation (Photo 3).

In a similar spirit, meetings were held with the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Education, National University in la Plata, Ana Julia Ramirez (Photo 4) and the representative of the University of Buenos Aires, prof. Maria Binetti (Photo 5) and opportunities for future cooperation with UKF were discussed.

On March 22nd, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences, prof. Petrovič was also invited to participate in a cultural event on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the foundation of the Slovak Association in Berisso.

The chairman of the Association, Guillermo Andrés Kubanda, together with his secretary, Sandra Fabina Datko, passed a gift – the flag of Argentina, to the Rector of UKF, prof. Libor Vozár, PhD.

The event also included an exhibition about M. R. Štefánik, organized by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Argentina. This event was also attended by H. E. Branislav Hitka (Photo 6), who proposed several suggestions for cooperation to the Dean.

Gratitude also goes to the Ambassador of Argentina, H. E. Rafael Mariano Grossi, for his support in establishing and developing cooperation between universities in Argentina and UKF in Nitra.
