From the 11th – 15th February 2019, commissioned by the Rector of the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra, prof. RNDr. Libor Vozár, CSc., the Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Social Affairs, doc. PaedDr. Miroslav Tvrdoň, PhD., visited several universities in Georgia.

The working meetings were preceded by negotiations by the Vice-Rector for International Relations, PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD., with rectorates of selected universities in Tbilisi, during which they expressed a serious interest in international cooperation in the field of social work.

The visit included the signing of bilateral agreements with the universities, in the presence of the rectors and vice-rectors of Ilia State University, International Black Sea University, Grigol Robakidze University Tbilisi and Georgian American University. The Vice-Rector of CPU, doc. PaedDr. Miroslav Tvrdoň, PhD., also met the vice-rectors of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Caucasus University and Georgian Technical University; and they negotiated cooperation between the universities in the field of social work. Vice-Rector Tvrdoň also gave a requested lecture at Georgian Technical University.

During the visit to Georgia, the Vice-Rector of CPU doc. Tvrdoň participated in a meeting with the Charge d´Affaires at the Slovak Embassy in Tbilisi Mr. Pavel Vízdal, who suggested several proposals for international cooperation between the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Tbilisi and CPU in Nitra. These projects were subsequently elaborated by prof. PhDr. Martina Mojtová, PhD. and doc. PaedDr. Miroslav Tvrdoň, PhD. (cooperation between the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care of CPU and Ilia State University) and prof. RNDr. František Petrovič, PhD. and doc. RNDr. Peter Mederly, PhD. (cooperation with the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University).

Thanks to the activities of Vice-Rector Tvrdoň, CPU researchers can participate at international conferences held at the International Black Sea University (May 2019) and Grigol Robakidze University Tbilisi (September 2019).

The visit of the Vice-Rector of CPU doc. PaedDr. Miroslav Tvrdoň, PhD. resulted in the fact that Georgia has been ranked to the most important international partners of CPU in the field of the internationalization of social work and social sciences.
