Cooperation with universities in Argentina
Vice-rector PhDr. Martina Pavliková, PhD. was on a business trip in Argentina, visiting the University of Buenos Aires (picture 1), the National University of La Plata (picture 2), Universidad Nacional de San Martin, Buenos Aires (picture 3), the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste UNNE, Resistencia (picture 4) and the Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires (picture 5). These visitations took place between the 14th and the 20th of November 2018.
The main topic of these talks with the representatives of the management of the universities was the possibility of establishing of international cooperation between Argentina's universities and ours in Nitra. These talks resulted in signing of a bilateral agreement between the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste UNNE and our university. The UNNE's rector, prof. María Delfina Veiravé, showed interested in cooperation especially in the fields of culture and minorities.
Another positive outcome of the talks are the invitations to attend lectures and conferences extended by the principals of La Plata's and San Martin's universities to our scholars, who are renowned for their publications in the SCOPUS database.
PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD. also initiated relations with H. E. Mr. Rafael M. Grossi (picture 6), the Argentinian ambassador to Slovakia with seat in Wien, who helped with contacting the universities. She also initiated contact with the Slovak Embassy in Argentina and its representative H. E. Mr. Branislav Hitka (picture 7), who also took part in the talks about cooperation with the UNNE and the National University of La Plata. A closer relationship has also been initiated with Mr. César Mangiaterra, who is the chairman of the Slovak Community of Buenos Aires. Mr. César Mangiaterra accompanied PhDr. Martina Pavlíková, PhD. at the universities of La Plata, Resistencia and Buenos Aires.
