Postgraduate Student of the Department of Romance Studies Receives a Diploma from Prestigious Sorbonne University
The Francophone University Agency (AUF), more specifically its local office based in Bucharest, of which UKF in Nitra is also a member, offers its members interesting opportunities for study, internships and more. One of them was an international master study of Language didactics (2013-2017) with a diploma from the prestigious Sorbonne University. Miroslav Adamčiak from Faculty of Arts, UKF in Nitra was the only Slovak who was able to graduate there. He began his study in October 2016 as a MA student from Faculty of Arts, UMB in Banská Bystrica and graduated in September 2017 as a full-time PhD student of Language didactics at the Department of Romance Studies at Faculty of Arts, UKF in Nitra.
The study was conducted in French. During the 5-month stay in Romania the lectures were presented by acknowledged professors from Université Sorbonne-Nouvelle Paris 3, Université de Genève, Université de Craiova a Université Politehnica de Bucarest. Miroslav Adamčiak describes his study as highly beneficial. For his master thesis “Intercomprehension in the Process of Learning Foreign Language of Slovak Speakers”, he obtained an internationally respected specialist from Switzerland. Under his tutelage he was able to write his master thesis and defend it without any problems, and thus he earned his master diploma from prestigious Sorbonne University. After the defense, a foreign publishing company published his work as a monograph.
In addition to the prestigious university diploma, he also earned an opportunity for exceptional cooperation in the form of double diploma PhD. program (co-tutelle de thèse) supervised by Prof. Laurent Gay from Université de Genève, Eva Švarbová, PhD from Constantine Philosopher University in Nitra, and external consultant Katarína Chovancová, PhD.
