Welcoming a Delegation from Udmurt State University in Izhevsk at UKF in Nitra
On Thursday, 19th October 2017, a delegation from the Udmurt State University in Izhevsk (Russian Federation), led by the university rectoress Galina Vitalievna Merzlyakova accompanied by dean of the Institute of Udmurt Philology of Udmurt State University Natalia Vladimirovna Kondratieva and the representative of the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest Dr. Zsuzsa Salanki visited Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra.
As first, the delegation visited the Faculty of Central European Studies of UKF in Nitra, where accompanied by Dr. Žofia Bárcziová, dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Ildikó Vančo, vice-dean for international relations, had a discussion on improving a trilateral collaboration between the Faculty of Central European Studies of UKF in Nitra, Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest and Udmurt State University in Izhevsk.
The main point of the delegation’s program was the meeting of the rectoress of the Udmurt State University with Prof. Ľubomír Zelenický, rector of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra who was accompanied by Prof. Gabriela Miššíková, vice-rector for international relations. In addition to mutual understanding of the structure and focus of both universities, the themes of their discussion were to identify the direction of possible partnership and its definition for a preparing a draft of university cooperation agreement. The Udmurt State University in Izhevsk is similar with its specialization to Constantine the Philosopher University Interestingly, the Oil and Gas Institute is part of this University, which makes this institution more technically than humanities oriented. The university consists of 13 institutes and has 19,000 students of Bachelor, Master and Postgraduate studies.
