On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA), the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra (UCP) was awarded a commemorative medal. The medal was handed over to the rector of UCP, Ľubomír Zelenický, by the rector of SUA, Peter Bielik, at the celebratory assembly on October 10th, 2017.

This award is seen as an expression of long-term partnership and multi-layered cooperation between the two Nitra universities, from commonplace communication and exchange of experiences between pedagogical and scientific staff to more complex forms such as organizing joint events, often in cooperation with the city of Nitra.

As emphasized by rector Zelenický, CUP wants to further develop efficient cooperation and build partnerships with educational and scientific institutions aiming at networking, experience exchange, as well as linking education with the needs of practice and existing job market.
