18th Drama Festival for Primary, Secondary and Language Schools at UKF
Language departments of Faculty of Arts, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra, namely the Department of German Studies, Department of English and American Studies, and the Department of Romance Languages in cooperation with Educational section of Nitra District Office, organized the 18th edition of the Drama Festival for Primary, Secondary and Language Schools, which took place on April 25 - 27, 2017. This year´s festival topic was “ZVIERATÁ - ANIMALS - ANIMALES – ЖИВОТНЫЕ - ANIMAUX - ANIMALI - TIERE”.
The festival has been established and became popular as proficient platform which enables to connect the academic context of university education with the environment of elementary, secondary and language schools. This year, 35 performances were presented in English, German and Spanish, prepared by the teachers and students of elementary, secondary and language schools in Slovakia and some Czech schools.
The enthusiasm, joy and the courage of the presented theatre performances were shared by more than 500 children and students from more or less distant schools. As the jury composed of members of all involved language departments stated, the performances showed a lot of students´ and pupils´ enthusiasm, creativity, humour and their overall engagement. This event was supported and co-organized by doctoral students of Faculty of Arts, who provided help with posters and promotion of the 18th Drama Festival of Primary, Secondary and Language Schools at UKF in Nitra.
