Successful cooperation between faculties and rectorate of UKF on a new development project
The Minister of education, science, research and sport of the Slovak republic approved the new development project "Internationalisation of the education process and the academic environment at the UKF in Nitra" and provision of grant in the amount of € 333 612 for the implementation of the project submitted by the university in the call for development projects at the end of the year 2016. Among 18 applications submitted by the Slovak universities nine proposals succeeded, and the project submitted by UKF ranked on the 6th place. The main aim of the proposed project (which involves contribution of all five faculties and two rectorate departments) is designed to help increase the quality, competitiveness and strengthening the position of our university in the European and non-European higher education context through three priority areas: 1) Preparation of pilot international degree study programmes, the upgrading of existing and creation of new study programmes in the English language, 2) Preparation of doctoral students for smooth and efficient access into the international (scientific) environment, and 3) Development of international cooperation. Within the three years of project realisation our desire is to contribute to the implementation of systemic changes in education process and to the creation of internal conditions that will support the development of key competences and skills of doctoral students and young researchers for their successful functioning in international academic environment.
