Unique Pavilion of Music at UKF Nitra
On Thursday, May 26, 2016, the new university building named Pavilion of Music was officially opened at the University of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. The new Pavilion of Music is unique in nature, architectural design and functional use. The building offers modern effectively equipped spaces for teaching study programmes of the Department of Music, Pedagogical faculty of UKF in Nitra, as well as for specialised courses in a number of educational, artistic-educational and humanities fields accredited as part of study programmes at the university. The building has a multifunctional chamber dedicated to didactic, concert, theatre and lecture activities, spacious ballet hall, a sound laboratory and a set of classrooms for theoretical subjects. As emphasized by the rector of UKF in Nitra, prof. RNDr. Ľubomír Zelenický, CSc., in his opening speech "today's opening of the new building of Pedagogical faculty comes not only for the Faculty but also for the entire university as an accomplishment of its long-term intentions. One of the ambitions of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra is to be a modern and dynamic school of the European dimension. The object was built in the years 2014 and 2015 on the basis of the university project "The Development of infrastructure to improve conditions of the educational process at UKF in Nitra”.
